TAPESTRIES OF GRIEF
4 - 19 September 2021

What is Tapestries of Grief ?
Tapestries of Grief is a multi-platform ‘festival’ that combines virtual talks, face-to-face experiential workshops, and a community art exhibition

“We need to grieve the ones we have loved and lost in this lifetime — not to sustain our connection to suffering, but to sustain our connection to love.”
– Jennifer Williamson
To honour our loved ones or to carry on their legacy, we often find ourselves following in their footsteps. It could be as simple as volunteering our time and presence to help others or making a donation in our loved one's name to a charity.
Kindness has the power to transform both the recipient and the person who offers it. That feeling of satisfaction and peace that comes from doing what you can to help, even if it's just a small and simple act, is truly soul-restoring. That is the power of kindness.

Examples of Acts of Kindness
When my dad (Jason), passed away from cancer last year, I decided to donate to the Singapore Cancer Society under his name.

My Grandfather (Ken), was someone who everyone in my family relied on for emotional support. When he passed a few years ago, I decided to take on that role, writing appreciation letters to all my family members and reassuring them that they are not alone.

My Mom (Kendall), used to bring me along on her monthly volunteering. After she passed 2 years ago, I decided to carry on her spirit of volunteerism, bringing my family and friends along on my journey.

Do also share a short write-up, including the name of your loved one, your relationship with them and what the picture meant to you.
